Our Team
Todd Stewart
managing partner
Todd is the Managing Partner at SPF, where he leads business development as well as managing investor relations for the firm. With SPF, he has overseen the development, sale and construction of more than 65 megawatts of solar projects, and has originated over 150MW for partner developers. Todd also founded and was managing partner of an environmental design/build firm, constructing more than a dozen custom homes in Colorado with Straw Bale wall systems. He also co-founded Planetary Solutions, a Boulder, CO environmental home and building products supply company.
Todd has also served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA).

Daniel (DJ) Cardi
partner
DJ manages land acquisition and development for Solar Power Financial, as well as overseeing market research and project feasibility analysis. Prior to joining SPF, DJ was a real estate and finance professional with 10 years' experience in project management, including opening a regional office for a national multi-family residential development company. He brought this expertise to the non-profit sector as well, advising dozens of organizations as a real estate, finance and sustainability consultant. DJ earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Barry Ruby
partner
Barry founded Solar Power Financial in 2009. Prior to SPF, he was Managing General Partner, President and Founder of five real estate development and investment companies with a track record of successful development of shopping centers, high-rise residential and mixed use properties across the U.S. Barry has opened regional real estate development offices for a range of large companies, and has taught real estate development courses for the Continuing Education Department of the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Barry has developed a comprehensive suite of financial models for analyzing all manner of renewable energy and storage projects. He oversees project selection and execution for SPF.
